Members of the Senate Labor and House Commerce committees heard testimony from administration officials, health care experts and others regarding the allocation of organ donations. Senator Bill Frist, also a medical doctor, co-chaired the hearing. Recipients of organ donations talked about the importance of the new proposals of resolving the problems that can arise while patients waited on lists for organ donations. close
