The Governor-General also outlined Australia’s efforts to build a counter-terrorism and intelligence training school for Southeast Asian and Pacific countries. This is the first session of Parliament since Prime Minister John Howard was re-elected October 9th. His government has been criticized for sending 2,000 troops to Iraq.
