Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell provided an overview of his chairman's initiative, "Strengthening Our Infrastructure for a Sustainable Future." A group of CEOs spoke, including T. Boone Pickens who addressed the group on his energy plan for reducing U.S. dependence on foreign oil through new infrastructure investments. "Energy Infrastructure for the 21st Century" was the opening plenary session of the winter meeting of the National Governors Association, held at the J.W. Marriott.
