Telephone lines were open for comments on the Standard and Poor’s (S&P) downgrade of the U.S. credit rating.

Laura King talked by telephone from Kabul, Afghanistan, about the latest on the U.S. military helicopter shot down on August 6 in the Wardak providence in Afghanistan. Thirty American service members were killed, including several Navy Seals.
