Charles Cobb wrote On the Road to Freedom: A Guided Tour of the Civil Rights Trail where he presented a history of the Civil Rights Movement. The book emphasized many of the historic sites of the civil rights movement in Washington, DC, and through eight Southern states. Mr. Cobb also profiled some of the leaders of the movement.

Charles Cobb is a senior writer for AllAfrica.com, an African news and information website. He is a founding member of the National Association of Black Journalists and has reported for NPR, PBS’s Frontline, National Geographic, and WHUR Radio.
