Witnesses testified about operations of unregistered Internet pharmacies and regulating the sale of controlled substances without valid prescriptions. Among the topics they addressed were drug safety and potential harms to consumers using the services, substance abuse and addiction problems, challenges the practice of Internet trafficking posed to law enforcement officials, and use of the services by children.
