A discussion was held on changes in the media world by two pioneers of blogging. The moderator was Jeff Jarvis, author of What Would Google Do? (HarperBusiness; January 27, 2009). The focus was on the future of news in print and digital media. They lamented the lack of experimentation done by the print media, missed opportunities, and an unwillingness to change. They also proposed changes that print media could make in order to survive and discussed the differences between print and on-line journalism. They responded to questions from members of the audience.
