Amy Yarsinske talked about her book "No One Left Behind: The Lieutenant Commander Michael Scott Speicher Story", published by Dutton. The book tells the story of Michael Scott Speicher, a Navy pilot who was shot down during the Gulf War. Believed to have been killed in the crash, Lt. Commander Speicher was declared the first American casualty of the Gulf War. A subsequent military investigation, based in part on Ms. Yarsinske’s work, raised questions about Speicher’s death, and in January of 2001 his status was changed from Killed in Action to Missing in Action. Following her presentation, she answered questions from the audience. close
