The participants introduced the congressional on-line public access information system called “Thomas” in honor of Thomas Jefferson. Under this system, the text of House bills, the Congressional Record, calendar and floor summaries and other legislative resources will be available on computer via internet. Following their prepared remarks, they answered questions fromt the press.
