Solicitor General Drew Days delivered the keynote address at the 16th annual Ollie May Cooper Award ceremony of the Washington, D.C. Bar Association. He spoke about the legacy and traditions of African-American lawyers and their continuing role in aiding the progress of the African-American community. Donald Thigpen then spoke about the namesake of the award, Ollie May Cooper, who was the first African-American woman admitted to the District of Columbia Bar by examination. Mr. Hicks then presented the award to Paul Webber, who then made acceptance remarks. close
