Mr. Rickey and Ms. Robinson jointly addressed the students being graduated by Ohio Wesleyan University at their commencement ceremony. Mr. Rickey’s grandfather, a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan, was the manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers who hired Jackie Robinson, Ms. Robinson’s father, to be the man to break baseball’s color barrier. They discussed the event and its significance and the characters of the men involved.
