The Commission held a regional hearing on the closure and realignment of defense bases in Ohio. Elected officials and local leaders spoke about the impact of base closures and realignment on their communities. The bases discussed were Ohio National Guard at Mansfield/Springfield, Mansfield Lahm Air Guard Station, Springfield-Beckley Air Guard Station, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Defense Finance and Accounting Service at Dayton, Defense Finance and Accounting Service at Cleveland, and Defense Supply Center at Columbus.
