Telephone lines were open for comments from viewers who had just seen Senator Barack Obama announce his candidacy for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination in Springfield, Illinois. Mr. Allen, and other guests who spoke via telephone, talked about Senator Obama’s political career and the other possible candidates for the 2008 presidential nominations.
