Alice Hedt talked about government regulation of nursing homes. On May 2 Ms. Hedt testified before a Senate Special Aging Committee on the challenges currently facing nursing homes and government regulation of them. Her organization lobbied for the enactment of the 1987 Nursing Home Reform Act, which was also discussed at the hearing. She responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.
