Sergio de Queiroz Duarte talked about the nuclear non-proliferation regime. Topics included the illicit nuclear supply network and the future of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. He expressed concern that sufficient progress has not been made toward global nuclear disarmament, and that this is undermining the legitimacy of the treaty in the eyes of many signatories. He argued that nuclear states should make a renewed committed to non-proliferation. Following his prepared remarks he answered questions from members of the audience.
