Adam Cohen talked about his book Nothing to Fear: FDR’s Inner Circle and the Hundred Days That Created Modern America (Penguin Press; January 8, 2009). His book about President Franklin Roosevelt’s first one hundred days as president focuses on the five Roosevelt aides-de-camp whom he sees as having been the most influential: Agriculture Secretary Henry Wallace, presidential aide Raymond Moley, budget director Lewis Douglas, Labor Secretary Frances Perkins, and Civil Works Administration director Harry Hopkins. He was interviewed by Elizabeth Taylor and responded to questions from members of the audience.
