Former Independent Presidential Candidate H. Ross Perot spoke at this anti-North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) rally on the loss of American jobs that would result from its passage. NAFTA would remove most of the trade barriers between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico within 15 years. The pact sets a January 1, 1994 deadline for ratification. NAFTA was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on November 17, 1993. close
