One by one, senators, representatives, and current and former secretaries of commerce approached a microphone to voice their support for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). They announced that every current and former secretary of commerce favors the congressional ratification of the agreement. Following opening statements, participants took questions from reporters concerning the possible effect of NAFTA. close
