Dr. Nora Volklow talked about tests conducted by National Institutes of Health (NIH) scientists and the Energy Department's Brookhaven National Laboratory. The test results show that brain chemistry becomes altered after 50 minutes of cell phone usage. The study did not make conclusions about long-term effects of the altered brain activity.
Kenneth Foster, who does extensive research into the effect of radiofrequency energy, spoke by phone about his concerns with the NIH test and other beliefs about the long-term effects of cell phone radiation.
Epidemiologist Devra Davis also talked by phone about the NIH test. She believes that cell phone radiation does produce harmful effects on the brain.
