Marsha Coleman-Adebayo talked about her book, which recounts her case against the Environmental Protection Agency, her former employer, which attempted to quell her claims that a corporation was responsible for hundreds of deaths in a vanadium mine in South Africa. In her book Ms. Coleman-Adebayo recalls her court battle against the agency and the development of the No FEAR Coalition she organized to provide protection to other whistle-blowers. Maria Coleman-Adebayo’s efforts led to the passage of the first civil rights legislation of the 21st century, Notification of Federal Employees Anti-discrimination and Retaliation, signed into law by former President George W. Bush in 2002.
