Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s second mayoral inauguration took place on the steps of City Hall. Following a saxophone rendition of “New York, New York,” Barbara Walters welcomed the guests. Judge Judith Kaye, chief judge of the state Court of Appeals, administered the oath of office, and Mayor Bloomberg gave his inauguration address. Then, John Lithgow introduced Liza Minnelli, who sang “New York, New York.”
