Discover Great New Writers Panel

Jill Lamar, manager and editor of Discover Great New Writers at Barnes and Noble bookstores moderated a panel of new writers. The authors discussed their individual writing processes as well as the differences between writing non-fiction and fiction. Following their discussion, the authors responded to questions and comments from members of the audience. BookMania! is a celebration of books at the Blake Library of the Martin County Library System.

The panelists were Joseph Boyden, author of Three Day Road, published by Viking Adult; Susan Casey, author of The Devil’s Teeth: A True Story of Survival and Obsession Among America’s Great White Sharks, published by Henry Holt and Co.; Elizabeth Kostova, author of The Historian, publishedy by Little, Brown; and Koren Zailckas, author of Smashed: Story of a Drunken Girlhood, published by Viking Adult. close
