Marc Genest talked about the American Revolution as an insurgency campaign which was won by use of strategic communication and information operations. He also spoke about the counter-insurgency measures utilized by the British, and highlighted where they made mistakes.

“Strategic Communication in the American Revolution” was a presentation of “New Thinking on the American Revolution.” It was part of the Bernard and Irene Schwartz Distinguished Speakers Series “Old Wars, New Threats,” a series of Saturday programs presented at the New-York Historical Society in collaboration with the Foreign Policy Research Institute. close
