House members and women's organization officers announced that H.J.Res. 1 will be introduced in the 101st Congress. It would start the process of adding the Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Rep. Edwards is chairman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Civil and Constitutional Rights.
