Ron Roberts toured the Nevada State Capitol Building, which was completed in 1871. He also spoke about the statue of Native American activist and educator Sarah Winnemucca that greets visitors as they enter the building, and about Nevada becoming a state in the midst of the Civil War.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2013 LCV Cities Tour” in Carson City, Nevada, from July 8-12 to feature the history and literary life of the community.*Working with the Charter Communications local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed.*The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events and non-fiction author segments air on BookTV on C-SPAN2. close
