A memorial service was held for astronaut Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the Moon, who died August 25, 2012. Astronauts Michael Collins and Eugene Cernan, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden, and former Treasury Secretary John Snow spoke at the ceremony. The Right Reverend Mariann Edgar Budde, bishop of Washington, gave the eulogy. Diana Krall performed Frank Sinatra’s arrangement of the jazz standard “Fly Me to the Moon.” close
