Gov. Clinton, a potential Democratic candidate for the 1992 Democratic presidential nomination, toured a Los Angeles area neighborhood to view its community program against crime and drugs. As he walked, Gov. Clinton spoke with city officials, police officials, and neighborhood residents on the program’s initiatives. The city’s program involved the creation of a citizen’s patrol to deter drug dealers and gangs, as well as community involvement. close
