Two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning author and biologist Edward O. Wilson talked about his book Nature Revealed: Selected Writings, 1949-2006, published by The Johns Hopkins University Press. He talked about his extensive research on ants and explained the importance of exposing children to science at an early age. He also talked about his childhood, his career in science, his love of writing, and his advice on scientific writing. After his presentation he responded to audience members' questions.

Professor Wilson is an entomologist who is often referred to as the father of sociobiology and modern biodiversity studies. He is the author of Sociobiology: The New Synthesis, On Human Nature (winner of the 1979 Pulitzer Prize), The Ants (winner of the 1991 Pulitzer Prize), and Consilience: The Unity of Knowledge. He is the Pellegrino University Professor Emeritus at the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard University. close
