Russian Ambassador Vitaly Churkin spoke with reporters about the situation in Ukraine and the investigation into the downing of a Malaysia Airlines flight near the border with Russia. He denied reports that Russian was firing artillery into Ukraine and said that the U.S. had no evidence. Ambassador Churkin also stressed Russia’s call for the United Nations Security Council to approve a U.N.-led investigation into the downed flight. close
