Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke presented to the committee the Federal Reserve Board’s semiannual report on monetary policy. In his testimony he indicated that the Federal Reserve had no plans to raise interest rates in the near future. He also talked about a number of other issues including Greece’s financial crisis, unemployment, budget deficits, and banking regulations.
