Participants gathered to promote gun safety legislation and awareness. Among the issues addressed were the many violent crimes recently committed with firearms and the accessibility to them. A video was shown on a large screen of President Clinton’s and the first lady’s remarks from the morning kick-off event. At various points in the rally entertainment was provided.
