Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels spoke about his career and experiences in politics and the private sector. Governor Daniels was elected governor in 2004 and re-elected in 2008. Prior to that he was director of the Office of Management and Budget under President George W. Bush and a senior adviser to President Ronald Reagan. He has also served as chief of staff to Indiana Senator Richard Lugar. In private industry he was president of Eli Lilly Company’s North American Pharmaceutical Operations. He has also been chief executive officer of the Hudson Institute. Governor Daniels received a bachelor’s degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton in 1971 and a law degree from Georgetown University in 1979. He is married with four daughters. Clips of a documentary featuring Governor Daniels was shown.
