Julie Sobel spoke by phone about the status of Representative and Senate candidate Todd Akin’s (R-MO) campaign in the aftermath of his controversial comments on rape and pregnancy. Several members of the Senate called on Representative Akin to withdraw from the race, and National Republican Senatorial Committee Chair John Cornyn told him the party will not give him campaign funds.
