October 1992 marked the 30th anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis. In 1992 the Central Intelligence Agency hosted its first-ever symposium on the crisis. Speaking at the event were formerly prominent members of the intelligence community and historians. They also responded to questions from members of the audience.

This film, Symposium on Intelligence and the Cuban Missile Crisis, was produced by Guggenheim Productions, Inc. for the Central Intelligence Agency. It consists of excerpts from the CIA’s First Intelligence History Symposium with explanatory bridges during which photographs were shown. close
