Participants talked about affordable housing and the availability of housing for minorities. Among the topics addressed were home ownership rates among African-Americans, barriers to access to affordable housing for minority groups, and proposals to improve ownership rates among all minority groups. They also addressed recommendations contained in a report titled “Building on a Dream,” which include proposals to end predatory lending practices and improve community planning measures. Following their comments they answered questions from the audience. close
