Brian Pease gave a tour of the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul. The building was designed by American architect Cass Gilbert, and is a classically styled building, boasts the second largest self-supported marble dome in the world, and features 23 different types of stone, including 16 varieties of marble from around the world, and granite and limestone from Minnesota.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2014 LCV Cities Tour” in St. Paul, Minnesota, from July 21-24 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Comcast Cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on BookTV on C-SPAN2. close
