Ike Skeltom (D-MO) Chairman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee heard testimony from legal scholars on the recently introduced policy on homosexuals in the U.S. military. Opponents of the policy claim it will defeat morale in the armed forces and would still result in persecution of homosexuals in the military. Supporters of the policy claim it would allow homosexuals to serve in the military without investigations or discharges on the basis of sexual orientation alone. close
