President Clinton and the first lady hosted the first in a series of lectures and concerts called the Millennium Program. Professor Bailyn talked about American ideas that shaped the nation and which must carry on for the future. President Clinton said that "we are honoring the past by looking into the prism of the future." Following President Clinton and Professor Bailyn's presentations, a forum discussion was held.
