Arab Americans met with congressional leaders to express concern over the actions Israel was taking in Lebanon to combat Hezbollah. Institute members called for an immediate cease fire and stronger U.S. diplomatic efforts the crisis areas of Southern Lebanon and Gaza. Topics included the Hezbollah and Hamas Parties, the role of the United Nations, and conditions for a cease fire. After their presentations the participants responded to audience members' questions.
