Vice President Gore moderated a discussion of the role of men in raising children and how the government can strengthen the role of the family as a stabilizing societal institution through the local community. Much of the discussion focused on the significant role of fathers in raising children. After several officials spoke, Vice President Gore opened the discussion to the audience.
