President Clinton assisted in the unveiling of the Vietnam Women’s Memorial model. He was joined by about a dozen people including his wife and Secretary Babbitt who commented on the event. The president and first lady helped pull the felt from the mock-up. Following comments by the artist, Secretaries Babbitt and Brown commented about the meaning they derived from the sculpture.
