Professor Mandelbaum was interviewed about his book, The Case for Goliath: How America Acts as the World’s Government in the 21st Century, published by PublicAffairs. He maintained that the United States does not use its super power for imperialistic gains, pointing out that America became a provider of security and governmental services to the world. Topics included U.S. military presence, the war in Iraq, and the European Union.

He was interviewed by Jacqueline Grapin, founder of the European Institute, and the publisher of European Affairs magazine.
