Education experts talked about the impact of the terrorist attacks of September, 11, 2001, on schools and children. Among the topics they addressed were emergency preparedness and planning, the effects of trauma on students and teachers, violence prevention, and civil engagement.

Prior to the panel discussion, Fairfax County Public Schools students presented the colors and sang the national anthem. Also, students from the Urban Nation Performing Arts School performed songs and dance numbers. close
