As part of a project sponsored by C-SPAN to encourage dialog between students and national figures, Kevin Madden talked to students at Eastern Senior High School in Washington, D.C., about careers in politics. Following his presentation, he answered questions from the students.

Kevin Madden was the national press secretary for Gov. Mitt Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign. He currently serves as a senior vice president in the public affairs consulting firm the Glover Park Group.

Mr. Madden previously worked in the press operations for two Republican House majority leaders, Rep. Tom DeLay and Rep. John Boehner. He also worked on President Bush’s 2004 re-election campaign and as the spokesman for the U.S. Justice Department. He got his start in politics working for local campaigns and officials in his hometown of Yonkers, New York. close
