The Democratic Governors' Association held a briefing to discuss the results of last week’s Louisiana gubernatorial election. Republican David Duke, and former Governor Edwin Edwards (D-LA) each gained enough percentage of the popular vote to meet in a November runoff. Eliminated from the governor’s race was the incumbent Republican, Buddy Roemer, who had been backed by the White House. close
