Gov. Roemer highlighted his race for the governorship and his tenure in office, emphasizing the economic turnaround which Louisiana has seen under three years of his leadership, especially in the areas of unemployment, environmental protection and educational opportunities. He also discussed recent decisions he has made on the issues of abortion, flag burning, capital punishment, record labeling and affirmative action.
