Sherwin Nuland discussed his memoir about his father, Lost in America: A Journey with My Father, published by Alfred A. Knopf. During his presentation, Dr. Nuland talked about his previous work, How We Die: Reflections on Life’s Final Chapter, which won the National Book Award in 1994, and how the reaction to that book led him to write Lost in America. Dr. Nuland also read portions from the book about his father and about his experiences growing up in the Bronx during the 1930s. He answered audience members' questions. close
