The British House of Commons Home Affairs Committee held the first hearing on the July 7th London bombings. This was a special hearing called while the British Parliament was in recess. The witnesses included Home Secretary Charles Clarke, who is responsible for law enforcement; Sir Ian Blair, the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis; Ken Livingstone, the Mayor of London; and Sir Iqbal Sacranie, a leading Muslim leader. close
