Representatives of seven government watchdog organizations outlined a proposal for a lobbying reform package that would address the failures that made the recent scandal involving lobbyist Jack Abramoff possible. Following their announcement they answered questions from reporters. The coalition of reform groups includes Public Citizen, Democracy 21, Common Cause, League of Women Voters, Public Campaign, Campaign Legal Center, and U.S. PIRG (Public Interest Research Groups).
