Author, historian, and Lincoln Studies Center co-director Douglas Wilson talks about the Gettysburg Address, which was delivered by President Abraham Lincoln 150 years ago on November 19, 1863. Mr. Wilson spoke about several facets of the address, including its context in the war in 1863, how it would have sounded when delivered by President Lincoln versus how it reads on paper, and how its meaning and interpretation have evolved over time. The Lincoln Group of the District of Columbia hosted this event. close
